			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The best paper award was given to Mariana Julieta Lopez and Sandra Pauletto for their paper &#8220;The design of an audio film for the visually impaired&#8221;, and the best poster award was given to Nina Schaffert, Klaus Mattes and Alfred O. Effenberg for the poster &#8220;A sound design for the purposes of movement optimisation in elite sport (using the example of rowing)&#8221;. Prizes were 300 euros each.</p>
<p>re-new 2009 in Copenhagen May 18-22 featured more than 100 works of music, video, and installations in a variey of forms and combination, as well as the ICAD 2009 conference on auditory displays. A warm &#8216;Thank You&#8217; to all participating artists and scientists, who, together with the audience made the events a great success &#8211; see you May 17-22 2010!</p>

<p>Some of the tools aim to find phrase boundaries, measure onset density and detect emotion by fuzzy logic. Another set of tools will generate melody based using probabilistic methods.</p>
<p>The second stage will be expanding and expose these tools to emotion rendering where appropriate.</p>
<p>The toolbox is being developed in max/msp/jitter and will eventually be available under the creative commons scheme.</p>
