Max for Live workshop

Is your main music software Ableton’s Live, and you feel you need to spice it up with some flexible and new stuff? Or are you a max/msp user and need something more straightforward as your performance tool? Or are you just still looking for the right set of software tools for your needs?

This workshop in Max for Live is intended for all these cases. Max for Live is the long awaited tool kit for making new digital devices for performance and entertainment, which lets you go beyond the common and predictable. Join a society of makers, share ingenuity, and transcend the limits that conventional tools impose!

The workshop will take place at Huset i Magstræde on May 22 & 23 and will be tutored by developers from the companies Ableton and Cycling74. The workshop will be in the daytime, and they will focus on the experienced Live user and max/msp user. There will be concerts in the evenings with experimental music.

We will soon be confirming who the tutors will be, but we expect to have top people coming in from Berlin & the US. The daily sessions will be about six hours, and there will be room for about 15 participants at each workshop.
