Yes, we know… you are wondering when next edition of re-new will take place, when you can submit proposals, and what kind of categories we will be having.

Well, re-new 2011 will take place May 17-22, and the call-for-proposals will come on-line during August. We have already begun working on the content – and in particular public spaces intended for site-specific installations – but more information on this and on the categories in general will be posted here over the coming period. Seems that we will have some new exciting collaborators and partners, so next year may become quite a different festival in several respects.

Time for re-new 2010 – opening event today Tuesday May 18 in Huset i Magstræde, Rådhusstræde 13, Copenhagen K!

This year’s edition kicks off Tuesday 19 at 19.00 (7pm) with a fine reception, installtion and concert. Enjoy Marco Donnarumma’s participative installation High Spheres, have a refreshment and a chat with the artists, before you attend the Finnish top ensemble Defunensemble’s world premiere of pieces by Annti Auvinen, Aki Asgeirsson, Lars Graugaard og Sami Klemola.

Effenberg for the poster “A sound design for the purposes of movement optimisation in elite sport (using the example of rowing)”. Prizes were 300 euros each.

    re-new 2009 in Copenhagen May 18-22 featured more than 100 works of music, video, and installations in a variey of forms and combination, as well as the ICAD 2009 conference on auditory displays. A warm ‘Thank You’ to all participating artists and scientists, who, together with the audience made the events a great success – see you May 17-22 2010!
